I was a tad concerned when Shannon was finishing the last 3 books alone. That the feel would change. Maybe the dynamics or action. I was wrong. The feel only intensified, the dynamics flowed with the storyline. Color me impressed. I loved this book the most. Chapter 21 on had me so emotional and on the edge of my seat! I put everything down to read this today. Wild and her crew, her family, and the magical community come together in a final face off with Frost and her cronies. There is action, suspense, a touch of romance, families healing old wounds, and a generation rising up to save the one before it. Amazing. Rare series that I will read again and again each year. It's a new tradition for me. Holy cats on fire! I love this book!!!!!! Wild is in Frosts hands and death is sure to follow. This book starts off with action and does not slow down. I have loved following Wild and her crew from the first book to this last one.The magical world can not handle one Chameleon what will happen now with three of them on the loose?Frost claims that she killed Tommy, but what Frost does not seem to understand is that for some reason Wild can see and talk to the ghost of her dead brother and that seems to be just one of the a huge differences between Wild and Frost.I love how these characters are written, each one has such depth to them. The world that this author has created has been written with such detail that it is easy to imagine being there.These books have magic, assassins, goblins, necromancers, vampires, gargoyles, ghosts, shifters and yes even humans.I think that either Pete or Wally are my favorite characters after Wild, but honestly it is a close call between all of them.If you love a book full of action some plot twists that you just did not see coming and a book that leaves you wanting more. This entire series is for you.
